Springdale went up through the 1990s and 2000s, so the carpet here is newer synthetic broadloom rather than the wool blends you find in older Brampton. It cleans well and takes standard hot water extraction without trouble. The issue in Springdale is not the fibre, it is the volume.

Big upper floors are where the discount matters
A typical Springdale detached has four or five carpeted rooms upstairs plus the hallway. Counted as areas that is five or six, which clears the five-area threshold and takes 10% off the carpet subtotal. Stairs are priced separately and do not count toward the five.
Priced out: four bedrooms at $99 and a hallway at $45 is $441 of carpet across five areas, so the discount applies and takes $44.10 off. Add a staircase at $85, which is not discounted, and the visit is $481.90. Doing the floor in one go is what gets you past five; a room at a time never does, and the $175 minimum visit applies either way.
Multi-generational houses put more feet on the same carpet
A lot of Springdale houses run two or three generations under one roof, which is a good thing for everyone except the carpet. More feet on the same stairs and the same hallway means the traffic lanes grey out years before the bedrooms look tired.
Those lanes are soil ground into the base of the pile, not dirt sitting on top, and that is exactly what extraction is for. What decides whether they stay clean is the rinse: leave detergent in the pile and the lane re-soils within weeks, faster than it did before it was cleaned.

Usually, yes. Five or more areas takes 10% off the carpet subtotal, and a typical Springdale upper floor clears that on the bedrooms and the hallway alone. Stairs are priced separately at $6 a step and do not count toward the five. The $175 minimum visit applies whether you book one room or six.
The traffic lanes on my stairs look permanently grey. Will they come out?
Often a great deal of it will, because most of what you are seeing is soil in the base of the pile rather than a stain. What will not come back is pile that has been physically worn down, and we will say which is which when we look.
