Complex Cleaning Services Carpet & Upholstery Limited is an incorporated, Brampton-based carpet and upholstery cleaning company serving twelve cities across the GTA. This page names the equipment we use, the chemistry we use, what we will not take on, and how the articles on this site get written.
A Brampton carpet cleaner, not a franchise.
Complex Cleaning Services Carpet & Upholstery Limited is incorporated in Ontario and based in Brampton. We clean carpet, upholstery, area rugs and stairs in twelve cities: Brampton, Mississauga, Milton, Oakville, Georgetown, Caledon, Burlington, Toronto, Etobicoke, Vaughan, Richmond Hill and Markham. We say no to work outside them rather than pretend otherwise.
Kharl is IICRC-trained in water damage restoration. That is training taken rather than a certification held, and the distinction is worth drawing because plenty of companies blur the two. The business carries insurance. We do not publish a street address because the work happens at yours, not ours.

Kharl Reynolds owns and runs Complex Cleaning Services Carpet & Upholstery Limited, and is the lead technician on the work — not a name on an invoice. He has over six years of experience cleaning carpet and upholstery, and is IICRC-trained in water damage restoration.
Every article on this site is written under his name because the material in it is his: the jobs, the prices, the equipment settings, the mistakes worth warning people about. When an article says a carpet wicked two days after another company cleaned it, or that a fourteen-step flight comes to $85 rather than $238, that is a job he did and a number he charged.
The equipment and chemistry we use, by name.
Most cleaning companies describe their process in adjectives. Here is ours in nouns, in the order it happens on a carpet:
- Prochem Ultrapac Extreme pre-spray. A professional-use pre-spray for heavily soiled carpet. It runs at pH 12.3, which is strongly alkaline — that is what makes it work on ground-in traffic lanes, and it is also exactly why the rinse below is not optional. Every drop that goes down has to come back out, which is the reason we wrote a whole article about residue.
- Oreck Orbiter XL for agitation. A 24 lb random-orbital machine that works the pre-spray down into the pile rather than across the top of it.
- Ninja portable extractor at 250 PSI. Portable, not truck-mounted. The unit is carried into the home, which is why a twentieth-floor condo, a townhouse with a long hallway and a rural property with a hundred-foot driveway are all cleaned at the same pressure.
- Prochem All Fiber Rinse to finish. A citric-acid rinse running at pH 4.2 to 4.5 — the acid side, deliberately, because that is what neutralises the alkaline pre-spray instead of leaving it in the pile. It is WoolSafe approved, which is why it is also what we clean wool with on its own, skipping the alkaline pre-spray entirely. It is the step that flushes the chemistry back out, and the one product in this list carrying the Carpet & Rug Institute Seal of Approval — which matters because several carpet manufacturers write CRI-approved cleaning into their warranty terms. It is the step a rented machine does not have at all, and the one we would keep if we had to drop every other.
Portable equipment is a genuine trade-off, not just a selling point. It means carrying machines up stairs instead of running a hose from a van. We take the extra time because it is the only way to reach a lot of the properties we serve.
What we do not do.
Worth knowing before you call, so nobody wastes a trip:
- We do not repair rugs. We clean them. Fringe work, reweaving and binding are somebody else's trade.
- We do not carry out mould remediation ourselves. We handle the water extraction and structural drying. Where remediation is needed we bring in licensed restoration contractors who work to the industry guidelines — people who hold that scope, rather than us claiming it ourselves.
- We do not clean tile or grout. We are a carpet, upholstery and rug company. Hard floors are somebody else’s trade.
- We are not truck-mounted. Every job is portable extraction. If a hose from a van is what you want, we are not the right company.
Our prices are on the website, which is unusual in this trade.
A small bedroom is $69, a large bedroom or living room $99, a hallway $45, a closet $30. Stairs are $6 a step with an $85 minimum. Commercial carpet is $0.40 a square foot. Five or more areas in one visit takes 10% off the carpet subtotal, and the minimum service call is $175. There is no call-out fee. Brampton carries no travel fee, and outside Brampton a $40 travel service fee may apply.

We publish these because almost nobody else in these twelve cities does, and because we would rather you worked out roughly what a visit costs before you ring than find out at the door. If an area does not meet your expectations, tell us within 48 hours and we come back and re-clean it at no cost. No fine print and no argument.
Where the articles come from.
Every article here starts as a recorded conversation about a job we actually did — which room, what was wrong with the carpet, what we sprayed, what it cost, whether it worked. Those conversations are written up with the help of an AI assistant, then checked back against the job and against the rate card above before anything is published.
Three rules govern what goes up. Any price in an article is the same price on the rate card. Any technical claim is checked against a source rather than taken on trust — what a rinse step does, what a piece of equipment weighs, what Ontario tenancy law actually requires of a tenant. Where we could not verify something, we say so in the article instead of writing around it. And no customer, job, neighbourhood or timeline appears on this site unless it happened.
That last one has cost us material. More than one anecdote has been cut because it could not be stood behind, and at least one article says plainly that a question was put to us four times and never answered. We would rather the site be thinner and true.

Same-day and next-day appointments are often available where the schedule allows, and short notice does not change the room rates. A same-day visit carries a $50 priority surcharge; next-day and later does not. What runs out is the day, not our flexibility on cost.
