Oakville splits two ways. Heritage streets in Old Oakville and Kerr Village run to original hardwood with area rugs on top, often inherited pieces worth more than the carpet in a whole newer house. Glen Abbey and River Oaks are the opposite: family homes with broadloom across several levels. Those want different work, and the rate card covers both. That first group is why rug cleaning in Oakville is often the larger half of a visit rather than an add-on to the broadloom. A $40 travel service fee may apply, because Oakville sits outside our core Brampton area.

A Recent Oakville Project
A holiday-decorated home needed its main hallway and staircase cleaned ahead of hosting season. Both areas see the heaviest foot traffic in the house, and stair treads in particular had visible wear along the front edge of each step. Most people call it steam cleaning. The technical name is hot water extraction and there is no steam in it. Every Oakville job runs the same six steps.

The same five areas plus a 16-step staircase
At $6 a step that flight is $96, which is above the $85 minimum, so the per-step rate applies. Total: $487.50.
Area rugs are sized by dimensions rather than counted as rooms: $80 up to 5×7, $120 to 8×10, from $180 for 9×12 and larger. Pet stain removal in Oakville is quoted on top of the area rate, at $125 per affected area for the enzyme treatment, because reaching a deposit in the underlay is a different job from cleaning the pile above it. How much does carpet cleaning cost in Oakville?
Carpet is priced by room type. A small room up to 200 sq ft is $69, a large room or living room is $99, a hallway is $45 and a closet is $30. Five or more areas takes 10% off the carpet subtotal, and every booking carries a $175 minimum service call. Oakville sits outside our core Brampton area, so a $40 travel service fee may apply.
I have an inherited wool rug. Is it safe to clean?
Usually, and it is cleaned differently from broadloom. The pre-spray that suits a synthetic traffic lane runs at pH 12.3, which is far too alkaline for wool and can affect the dye. Wool gets the acidic rinse on its own instead, at pH 4.2 to 4.5. We identify the fibre before anything is sprayed, and if a piece should not take a wet clean at all we will say so rather than risk it.
Will you take the rug away to clean it?
No. It is cleaned where it lies, with the hardwood underneath protected, and it has to come up dry enough to sit back down on the floor. Nothing leaves your house. We clean rugs but do not repair them — fringe work, binding and reweaving are a different trade.
Why are stairs quoted separately from rooms?
Because they are worked by hand rather than pulled in a straight run. Every tread, riser and nosing is reached separately, and wear concentrates on the front edge of each step where one pass down the flight does not reach. Stairs are $6 a step with an $85 minimum per staircase.
How long does carpet take to dry?
Dry to the touch in four to six hours and fully dry within twenty-four. Bronte and the waterfront run a little more humid than inland Oakville, so we set airflow for it rather than assume the standard window.
Do I need to move furniture before you arrive?
No. Kharl moves standard furniture, sofas, chairs, coffee tables and area rugs, and puts it back. Beds, dressers and anything heavy or fragile stay where they are and we clean around them.
Can you do a whole house in one visit?
Yes, and in Glen Abbey and River Oaks it is the usual booking. Carpet across two or three levels plus the stairs and hallways that connect them clears five areas comfortably, which takes 10% off the carpet subtotal. Stairs are billed at full price and do not count toward that threshold.
